Account Deactivation, Deletion & Data Retention

Version 1.2.0Last updated September 25, 2026

You are always in control of your UFiT Daily account. This policy explains the difference between deactivating and deleting your account, the 30-day recovery window before a deletion becomes permanent, exactly what happens to your data, and the limited records UFiT Daily is legally required to retain. UFiT Daily provides software only and is not a party to any coaching arrangement; decisions about your account are yours alone.

1. Deactivation vs. Deletion

Deactivation pauses your account. Your profile is hidden, you stop appearing in search and to other members, and any connected professional immediately loses access to your data — but nothing is deleted. You can reactivate at any time, with no time limit, simply by signing back in. Your training history, plans, and progress return exactly as you left them.

Deletion permanently removes your account and personal data. Because deletion cannot be undone once complete, every deletion first enters a 30-day recovery window (described below) during which you can still change your mind.

Choosing to deactivate or delete is entirely your decision. UFiT Daily does not make this choice for you and applies no penalty either way.

2. The 30-Day Recovery Window

When you request deletion, your account is immediately scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later. We email you to confirm the request and state the exact calendar date on which deletion will occur.

During those 30 days your account is treated as deactivated: your profile is hidden and connected professionals lose access. If you sign in at any point before the deletion date, your deletion is automatically canceled and your account is fully restored — we will email you to confirm.

If you take no action, your account and personal data are permanently and irreversibly deleted on or shortly after the stated date, subject only to the limited legal-retention exceptions in Section 4.

3. What Happens to Your Data

While deactivated or within the recovery window: your profile, training history, logged workouts, body metrics, check-ins, and goals are retained but hidden, and connected professionals can no longer view them.

On permanent deletion: your account credentials and the personal data described above are deleted from our active systems. Residual copies may persist in routine encrypted backups for a limited period and are overwritten on our normal backup-rotation cycle.

Content you shared with others or that exists independently of your account — for example, messages received by another member, or aggregated and de-identified statistics that can no longer be linked to you — may remain after deletion. De-identified data is not personal data and is not subject to deletion.

4. Records We Are Required to Keep

UFiT Daily retains certain records after deletion only where it has a legal, regulatory, or legitimate-interest basis to do so. These include, without limitation: transaction, payment, invoicing, and tax records (typically retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial law, commonly up to seven years); records reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and records we are required to preserve in connection with a safety, abuse, fraud, chargeback, law-enforcement, or regulatory matter.

Where an account is associated with a suspected violation of our Terms, unlawful conduct, harm to another member, or an open investigation, UFiT Daily may retain relevant account and activity records for as long as necessary to investigate, comply with the law, cooperate with law enforcement, and protect our members, the public, and UFiT Daily — even after a deletion request. This prevents deletion from being used to destroy evidence of wrongdoing.

Retained records are kept only for the relevant purpose and the legally required period, are access-restricted, and are deleted or anonymized once that purpose and period end.

5. Your Rights and Manual Requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or request erasure of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The in-app deactivate and delete controls in Settings are the fastest way to exercise these choices.

You may also submit a manual data-access or erasure request via ufitdaily.com/contact. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will honor verified erasure requests except to the extent retention is required or permitted under Section 4.

6. Professionals and Connected Members

If you are a professional, deactivating or deleting your account ends your visibility to clients and your access to all client data. Any data your clients logged remains owned by those clients and is unaffected by the deletion of your account.

Deleting your account does not delete records held independently by other members (such as messages they received) or any payment records UFiT Daily must retain under Section 4.

7. Billing, Subscriptions & Refunds

Nothing has been charged to your account during early access, so there is no renewal to cancel and nothing to refund.

Deactivating your account, requesting deletion, or reactivating within the 30-day recovery window therefore has no billing effect: there is no paid term to end, extend or refund.

Before any payment is ever taken, we will publish updated terms that describe prices, charges, cancellation and refunds, and ask you to accept them. Until then no charge, renewal or refund applies to your account.

8. No Liability for Your Decision

The decision to deactivate or delete your account, and any resulting loss of data, history, connections, or access, is yours. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UFiT Daily is not liable for any loss arising from your decision to deactivate or delete, from your failure to reactivate within the 30-day recovery window, or from data that is permanently deleted in accordance with this policy.

We strongly encourage you to download a copy of your data (Settings → Data) before requesting permanent deletion.

9. Changes to This Policy

UFiT Daily may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date, and where required by law we will notify you. Questions can be sent to ufitdaily.com/contact.
